Astrology proceeds from the idea that the solar system and a human being both manifest a deeper underlying spiritual reality. Objective astronomical cycles flow in parallel with subjective psychological dynamics. Sun signs are described as a changing ratio of day (individual consciousness) to night (collective unconscious) throughout the year. Planets portray specific realms of experience within those energy fields. Their relationships generate a geometry of meaning. This book ends with an overview of the historical eras associated with conjunctions and transits of the slow moving outer planets. In conclusion it examines Earth's own Precessional cycle which will enter the long anticipated Age of Aquarius around 2060.
A PREDICTION
Any attempt to predict the future involves serious hubris. The Universe is far more complex than we can imagine. Its workings are open to chance and free will as well as guided by law and destiny.
That said, if astrology is more than a meditation on archetypal psychological symbols, then it must be able to make verifiable predictions. Not as a description of specific events, but about the nature and timing of crises points.
